How Rick started fishing

Dad started me on trout and catfish. One of my coaches in hgh school got me into tournament fishing.


Aspirations or goals with fishing

Fish as long as possible.

Top water and spinnerbait.

2nd place finish in Eastern Division in 1987. Missed Bassmaster Classic by less thn 2 lbs.

Get on water much as possible

Trying to find quality fish that will win.

 


When tournaments don't go my way

Review the day and try to figure out where I went wrong. Try to forget and move on!


Advice to give to an aspiring tournament angler:

Stay on water as much as possible. Guys that do well, puts the time in!

Try to learn  as many techniques as you can.
