What you should know about Becky:

How Becky started fishing

My husband, Ben Minor got me started fishing out of a boat. From there, I went to tournament fishing starting in Midwest Pro/Am and then to MBAA.

Aspirations or goals with fishing

Favorite way to fish

Top water is for sure my favorite way to fish for several reasons. First of all, top water usually will not get hung-up, so I don't loose too many lures. More significant is my record of catching fish on top water baits.I've taken Big Bass at two ABA national championships, both on top water.

Most exciting fishing experience

Day 3 of ABA National Championship on Kentucky Lake has set the standard of exciting experiences on the water. I drew a local angler and agreed to go in his boat. We ran about 30 miles south and pulled up on a channel bend loaded with tree stumps. Partner had been catching some fish here and had about 14lb in two days; I had nothing in two days. I started throwing a Spook. I couldn't believe what started happening! At the first twitch, bass boiled around that lure and they were not small bass, but 3-5 pounders. In 10 minutes I had Big Bass of the tournament in the live-well. And the excitement didn't stop; it went on all day. We loaded the boat!

Three favorite search baits

Spinner bait, crank bait and buzz bait are usually my search baits.
