Ray Neighbors Wins the ABA District 47 2018 season opener on Lake Hamilton
The first tournament of the ABA American Fishing Tour D47 2018 season was held on 4 Nov 2017 and contested on Lake Hamilton. 29 anglers came out on a dreary day in the hopes of filling their livewells with hungry Hamilton bass. A limit-fest as usual, 17 5-fish limits and a total of 99 bass for 159.84lbs were weighed.
Ray Neighbors topped the field with five fish for a total weight of 12.21 lbs. Ray threw a Rat-L-Trap & jig to catch his fish.
Brian Bean sacked up five fish for a total weight of 10.77 lbs. Brian relied on a Carolina Rig and caught some breaking fish to fill his livewell.
Blake Wilson rounded out the top three with a total weight of 10.52 lbs. Blake used a jig and caught some schooling fish to fill his limit. Blake also caught the big bass of the day at 3.26 lbs.

These anglers are earning valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual Ram American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of the Year Final Round at the Ram American Fishing Tour National Championship.
